Recreational/Therapeutic Horseback Riding | |
| Longacres Farm Riding School is not able to provide riding for people with some physical disabilities. Those that need a special ramp to mount or are wheel chair bound will not be able to negotiate Longacres Hills and ramps. Because we believe that horses are therapeutic to anyone who is able to ride or just be around them we try to accommodate anyone with a physical disability, if we can do so safely. If not we try to refer to an appropriate source. At this time the only program we are aware of in the Eugene area is RideAble a Recreational/Therapeutic Horseback Riding program. There are other programs in Oregon, see below. As we become aware of other sources we will post links or contact info below.
