Bio-Lawn™
Enjoy this summer watching your lawn GROW!
Bio-Lawn maintains luxurious, soft, green grass. It improves resistance to foot traffic and encourages re-growth of stresses, problem areas. Bio-Lawn aids deep root growth, reducing the amount of water needed. Using Bio-Lawn helps your grass out-compete with the weeds with dense, vigorous growth. You neighbors will think you bought a new lawn! We use Bio-Lawn here at Longacres Farm on all our lawns and pastures. Our very wet winters wash many nutrients away. Because we are on a well system Bio-Lawn helps keep our grasses growing with much less water. Comes in 5 liter jug.

(Vertical bars indicate standard deviation. Asterisks above graph indicate significant (P< 0.05) differences between treatment and control.)
Nitrogen content of Bio-Turf treated and untreated grass were compared throughout the growing season. Throughout the season, total nitrogen in the treated plots averaged 16.8% more than in the untreated controls. On 9 of the 14 sampling dates, this difference was statistically significant. |

Effects of foliar application of products on uptake of nutrients through the root system were studied using hydroponic culture
Bio-Turf increased iron, copper, manganese, and zinc levels in the leaves |
|

Uptake of iron, copper, manganese and zinc to the leaves of experimental plants were evaluated under controlled conditions using hydroponic culture. Half of the plants were treated with the products two weeks before analysis. Bio-Turf increased the uptake of micronutrients through the root system of the plants. Copper uptake was increased 3.7 times, iron and zinc 2 times, and manganese by 56%.

Bio-Lawn and increased chlorophyll

Treated grass contained more chlorophyll and was much darker green than the grass treated with NPK only. The increased chlorophyll was clearly visible all season long.
(Vertical bars indicate standard deviation. Asterisks above graph indicate significant (P< 0.05) differences between treatment and control.)
The effects of Bio-Turf products on chlorophyll production were investigated in the field and in the laboratory. Throughout the season, Bio-Turf treatment increased the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves by an average of 27%. Seasonal means for treated and control were significantly different on eight of the 14 sampling dates. |
Bio-Lawn and increased moisture content
(Vertical bars indicate standard deviation. Asterisks above the graph indicate significant (P< 0.05) differences between treatment and control.)
The effects of Bio-Turf products on moisture content of grass leaves was investigated. Treated plots averaged 8.8% less dry matter than the untreated plots. Treated plots retained more water in the leaves throughout the season, especially during summer months. On average, treated grass contained an average of 3.6% more moisture than the control. This difference was statistically significant on 7 sampling dates. Increased shoot moisture is known to improve wear tolerance of grass. This was confirmed by the stress tolerance test. |
|

Treated and untreated turf grass was evaluated in the laboratory for stress resistance. Fifty percent (50%) damage occurred at 30 hours for the treated grass, compared to 15 hours for the untreated, indicating that Bio-Turf products increase the stress resistance of turf. |
Summary:
It was found that Bio-Turf products improved nitrogen and micronutrient content of the grass leaves, improving drought tolerance and increasing the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves which lead to greener, better looking turf. |
