The book's unique format, with an arena diagram or drawing illustrating each exercise, allows the rider to hang it on a hook or drape it across a barrel and refer to it from the saddle. Others focus on improving rider position, lengthening the stride, and perfecting flying changes.

Jec Aristotle Ballou has trained dressage horses of all breeds and taught riders of all levels for 20 years.
